Unobuagha Nkechi Catherine is a Registered Nurse (RN), and Registered perioperative Nurse (RPN) with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).

She obtained her Certificate in Nursing from the School of Nursing, University of Benin Teaching Hospital and immediately proceeded to specialize in Perioperative Nursing in the School of post basic nursing studies, perioperative nursing, University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Benin City.

She obtained the Certificate in Perioperative Nursing and graduated as the most outstanding student. She is currently a final year Bachelor of Nursing Science student at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).

She is proficient in various surgeries in different specialties such as Neurosurgery; Ear, throat and nose surgery (ENT); ophthalmological surgery; general surgery, maxillofacial surgery; cardiothoracic surgery; plastic surgery; Orthopedic surgery; obstetric and gynecological surgery; paediatric surgery, Urological surgery; amongst others.

She is proficient in special procedures such as Complex Brain and Spine surgeries; open heart surgery; kidney transplant, hip replacement surgery; knee replacement surgery and Laparoscopic surgery. She carried out research works in the University of Benin Teaching Hospital. She has skills in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Basic Life Support.
